About Me

Name: Emily Jude Taylor

Education: Bachelors of Fine Arts from Shippensburg University, PA

Zodiac: Virgo

How this came to be:

My love for crafting started from watching "Out of the Box" and attempting to make whatever craft they showed you that episode. Sand Art was also a big staple in my household as every year my mom did a Sand Art table at the church bizarre. My best friend and I then moved on to making friendship bracelets, rainbow looms, and Perler beads during most of our free time.

I attended college in 2012, and by the next year had my major changed from Education to Art. From there, I spent time in dorm rooms and apartments making everything and anything. In the studio and for my senior project I focused on welding scultures. A few pieces ended up in galleries. After, I sold some decals, wine cork keychains and paint pours under Emazing Designs, then Ohemjude Creations, and finally in 2020 I landed on Onemjude Desings.

In the end of 2024, I lost my partner of almost 3 years and the stepfather to my daughter. I needed something to keep my hands and mind occupied. One reason was because I am a face and scalp picker. I was losing hair and had myself convinced I was balding and not just ripping it out from stress because I was never picked at my hair. My face picking habit that I had since elementary school also got excessively worse.

I saw these picky pads on temu and decided to try it out and I loved it! My problem was....there were NOT enough beads, it was thin, all the beads were soooooo tiny and it was just pink and boring. It was not worth the money in my opinion. So, I decided to change that. I wanted to make something that was helping me, help other but done the way it is supposed to. I already had beads from a few of my many craft endeavors. All I needed was the silicone and a dream.

So here I am making art for you to then tear apart for your mental health journey.

...and I wouldn't want it any other way !
